Hi, my names Matt

Owner Empire Epoxy Floors

I have devoted over a decade to my passion for epoxy flooring.

I take great pride in ensuring meticulous attention to detail in every installation, a quality that my clients consistently appreciate. From the outset of my journey with epoxy, I discovered that this is where my true passion resides, and I cannot envision pursuing any other path.

What fascinates me about installing epoxy flooring systems is the remarkable transformation they achieve in a remarkably short period.

Why Epoxy?
Epoxy provides a cost-effective way to transform damaged concrete floors into beautiful surfaces, offering a wide range of colors and finishes to suit any environment.

Epoxy flooring is durable

Businesses often choose epoxy for its durability, as epoxy-coated concrete floors outlast untreated ones and withstand considerable wear and tear. Hardeners in the resin make epoxy exceptionally strong, creating an impermeable surface ideal for heavy foot traffic, vehicles, and machinery. Its heat resistance further makes it a preferred option for commercial kitchens.

Epoxy is cost-effective

Depending on your desired aesthetic and functionality, epoxy offers a versatile and cost-effective solution. While it initially costs more than standard concrete sealers due to its raw materials, its durability ensures long-term savings by reducing replacement and maintenance expenses. Clear epoxy can resemble polished concrete but is simpler to apply, requiring multiple coats over an existing or new concrete slab.

Easy to maintain

Epoxy floors are highly low maintenance. The resin seals concrete pores, creating a waterproof and stain-resistant finish that's durable and easy to clean. Regular maintenance involves using a commercial vacuum, sweeping, or mopping. To prevent scratches, it's recommended to use a vacuum with a soft brush attachment to remove dirt and sand. Avoid using soap regularly as it can leave a hazy residue; instead, use warm water and a pH-neutral detergent for routine cleaning.

Slip-resistant

Epoxy flooring combines aesthetics with safety. Despite its smooth finish, epoxy can be made slip-resistant by incorporating fine or coarse grit into the coating, making it ideal for various environments like commercial kitchens, manufacturing areas, and wet spaces such as bathrooms and laundries. Its skid-resistant properties also make it popular in car parks, showrooms, and schools.

Resistant to chemicals

Due to its industrial strength and inherent properties epoxy floors are resistant to chemicals, making it an ideal flooring choice for warehouses or other commercial locations required to regularly handle chemicals. While concrete is porous, epoxy coating fills in the gaps and makes the surface impenetrable. This ensures your flooring will not corrode. Chemical spills won’t absorb into your epoxy floor. They can be simply wiped up.
